Gamma Mu Newsletter
Greetings Sigma Nu brothers,
In this month's newsletter, we're excited to share the latest updates on how our recruitment efforts have fared, introduce you to our dedicated recruitment chairs, and give you a sneak peek into the upcoming events, including Homecoming on October 21st. Let's dive in!
Recruitment Success with Timur Turkoglu, External Recruitment Chair:
This year, Sigma Nu achieved remarkable success in our recent recruitment efforts, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our brothers. We're thrilled to announce that we have welcomed an impressive cohort of 22 exceptionally high-quality candidates. Moreover, our Pursuit of Excellence scholarship program has yielded outstanding results by successfully converting six exceptional individuals to join our ranks. The growth extends beyond just numbers; our fraternity house itself has seen substantial development. With a current total of 113 members, including candidates, the house's size has nearly doubled in just three years. This transformation is a testament to Sigma Nu's unwavering commitment to improvement and our dedication to maintaining a high standard of quality.
Neil Moghe, Internal Recruitment Chair, Shares Insights:
Recruitment presented a unique challenge this year, with a noticeable decline in the number of students interested in joining. Despite this, Sigma Nu remained steadfast in our commitment to a quality-over-quantity approach. We finished fall recruitment with a class size of 22 outstanding individuals who embody our fraternity's values. One notable change this year was the increased involvement of our senior class in the recruitment process. It was heartening to see our seniors actively participating in events and engaging with potential new members. Our highlife events, such as BBQs and the exciting tailgate for the Toledo game, drew considerable interest and contributed to our recruitment success. Looking ahead, we anticipate further improvements in house involvement for recruitment, along with the guidance of our new recruitment chairs.
Coming Up: The Pursuit of Excellence (POE)
Stay tuned for our next newsletter, where we'll provide you with an in-depth update on our Pursuit of Excellence program. We'll share stories and highlights from the scholarship recipients, giving you a closer look at how this initiative is shaping the lives of our members.
Join Us for Homecoming on October 21st
Mark your calendars, alumni! Homecoming is just around the corner, scheduled for October 21st. We invite you to come by the house for a BBQ during Homecoming weekend. It's a perfect opportunity to reconnect with old friends, reminisce about the good times, and meet our new members. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and making new memories together.
As always, your continued support and involvement in Sigma Nu are greatly appreciated. Let's keep the spirit of brotherhood alive and thriving. Until next time, remember that "Love, Truth, and Honor" guide our path.
